Grand List Update — 03/06/11

March 6, 2011

Ah, well here it is. This purchase is a little more momentous than the others. First of all it is another entry in Pokemon’s main series which is never a bad thing but that’s hardly important. This purchase marks my final intended purchases for the Nintendo DS. With the 3DS coming out in only a few weeks and the lineup of DS games on the horizon dwindling, I can’t think of any more games I want to own for it.

That’s not to say I won’t, of course…I’m always looking to buy games if they price is right but as of now I have no more Nintendo DS games that I plan on buying.

Grand List Update — 03/01/11

March 1, 2011

-Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest

Awww, just one game this time but the coming month looks promising overall.

Grand List Update — 02/25/11

February 25, 2011

-Back to the Future (NES)
-Castlevania (NES)
-Ecco: The Tides of Time (Genesis)
-Shadowgate 64: Trial of the Four Towers (N64)
-Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (N64)
-Xevious (NES)
-X-Men (Genesis)

A lot of games this time, all for less than what I paid for Final Fantasy VII. Nothing especially noteworthy except maybe Castlevania.

Grand List Update — 02/22/11

February 22, 2011

Big announcement for this Grand List Update. I am now the proud owner a Sega Dreamcast!

The rest of the update is business as usual.

-Reel Fishing (PS)
-Slave Zero (DC)
-Sonic Adventure 2 (DC)
-South Park Rally (DC)

Grand List Update — 02/19/11

February 20, 2011

-Dragon Warrior (NES)
-Mortal Kombat (Genesis)
-Sonic Spinball (Genesis)

Enter Genesis. I’ve finally gotten around to purchasing new video cables for my Sega Genesis and what better way to commemorate this momentous then the buying of Mortal Kombat and some lesser Sonic game? Also added was Dragon Warrior which I know nothing about.

Grand List Update — 02/15/11

February 15, 2011

-Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage
-Super Mario Bros. 2
-Trauma Team (Wii)
-Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

2 Much needed classics are finally added to the library and my first Trauma series game. The first title for the DS was pretty amazing if I recall correctly so hopefully this Wii iteration is just as good. I also repurchased Spyro 2 for the original Playstation which was, without a doubt, my favorite game for that system.

Upgrades For Everyone!

February 12, 2011

First off, I’m indifferent to announce that Seafoam Islands now has twitter account that you can follow here or you can look at the Twitter feed on the right sidebar.

Also, I’ve been working on upgrading The Grand List which has turned out to be an incredibly time consuming task. You can see the upgraded list(s) by scrolling all the way to the bottom of The Grand List and clicking on any of the consoles. It’s a little sloppy but it’s just tentative.

Grand List Update — 02/08/11

February 8, 2011

-Chrono Cross (PS1)
-Indigo Prophecy (Xbox)

I remember playing Indigo Prophecy (which was called “Fahrenheit” everywhere else but the US) on a modded Xbox and thought it was interesting enough to warrant a purchase.

Chrono Cross is the follow up to the critically acclaimed Chrono Trigger for the SNES. This PS1 sequel is just as highly regarded as its predecessor.

Grand List Update — 02/05/11

February 5, 2011

-Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GCN)
-Star Wars Rogue Squadron III Rebel Strike (GCN)
